The inception of Larry's Appliance Service in 1982 by owner and chief
service man Larry Kytchak is an offshoot of a family business which started
back in the early 1950's. As a kid, Larry went out on service calls with his
dad as an apprentice helper. While in high school he took vocational courses
in appliance repair and industrial electricity, and then went on to
receve a diploma in appliance and electrical repair. Soon after
graduation, Larry went on to work as an apprentice electrician at U.S.
Steels National Tube Works. He became a motor inspector and worked as such
for 15 years. When the steel industry in this area began to dwindle, Larry
pulled his resources and started back into appliance repair.
With his past experience
and determination, it didn't take long to build a
successful, reputable business.
